Brigitte founded Pauzé Coaching in 2010 after eight years of coaching with CDC Coaching. Over the years, she has coached dozens of senior managers, leaders and professionals to help develop their skills and maximize their professional potential.

Throughout her fruitful and multi-faceted career, Brigitte has worked with various levels of management, often in a context of change. She has developed a talent for honing in on the interpersonal and strategic skills that make a difference in an executive’s performance. She specializes in executive and management one-on-one coaching.

Brigitte’s career spans both the public and private sectors and has been guided by self-challenge as well as a desire to make a difference. After starting her career as a marketing consultant for a large consulting firm, she served as Chief of Staff for the Québec Environment Minister and was in the Québec Premier’s office as Special Advisor. Brigitte became Assistant Deputy Minister of Communications for the Government of Québec from 1989 to 1994. Between 1996 and 2000, she held the position of Vice-President, Corporate Human Resources and Employee Communications at Teleglobe, an international telecom carrier.

Brigitte has always pursued a broad range of interests and has been involved, among other things, in teaching and publishing, mentoring, and taking part in non-profit organizations like the Youth Chamber of Commerce of Montréal and the Breast Cancer Foundation. She has also occasionally spoken at conferences and has sat on various boards of directors.

Brigitte holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration an MBA specialized in Marketing from Université Laval and a diploma in Human Resources from the Richard Ivey School of Management. She is a certified coach (P.C.C.) from the International Coach Federation (I.C.F.).

Jacques has been an Executive Coach for the past 10 years working with CEO’s and senior executives. His long and diversified management experience has taught him how important political savvy is in fully realizing the role of a leader.

Jacques has worked both in the public and private sectors as well as in education, communications and economic development, where he held leadership positions that enabled him to acquire rich and diversified experience.

Before joining Pauzé as an Associate Coach, Jacques was General Secretary of the Université de Montréal from 1969-1974, Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Education, in charge of postsecondary education from 1974 to 1978 and then Deputy Minister from 1978 to 1983.

He then entered the world of communications as President of Télé-Québec, a position that he held from 1983 to 1988.

Jacques later moved on to join Quebecor where between 1988 and 1996, he held different management positions until his appointment as President of the Quebecor group, which included, at the time, daily newspapers, magazines, regional weeklies, distribution and retail business. In 1996, Jacques became President-Executive Director of Montreal International, at the time of its creation, a position he held until fall 2003.

He has served on numerous Boards of Directors including as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Domtar from 1996 to 2004 and Chairman of the Board of le Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal from 1997 to 2002.

Jacques holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Montréal and a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is an officer of France’s National Order of Merit.

Upon his retirement from Power Corporation in 2004, Yvon took his training in coaching and has been coaching hundreds of executives and managers since. Yvon focuses mainly on executive and team coaching, with a wide range of managers and professionals at various hierarchical levels and industrial sectors. He is also a recognized expert in mentoring, supporting organizations in the implementation of mentoring programmes, including mentor and mentee training.

Yvon coaches people to improve their skills in areas such as strategic thinking, executive presence, communication and political skills, leadership, self-management and presentation skills.

Before beginning his career as an Executive Coach, Yvon spent most of his 35-year management career with the Power Corporation of Canada group, a major public company with holdings primarily in businesses within the communications, insurance, finance and biotechnology sectors. For many years he managed Power Broadcasting Inc., before moving to Power Technology Investment Corporation, a venture capital company, where he was Executive Vice President.

Yvon holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration (B.A.A.). He also completed a graduate program in mentoring and a Minor in Psychology. He is a Certified Human Resources Professional and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coach Federation. He is a Past President of I.C.F. Quebec, a member of the Institute of Coaching of Harvard Medical School in Boston, director of Mentorat Quebec, member of International Mentoring Association and a member of the Research Committee of the Quebec Professional Association of Co-development.

He is a frequent speaker at conferences on themes such as Leader as Coach, Strategic Thinking, Leadership, Strategic Communications and Political Skills. He has written several articles about management, leadership, coaching and mentoring. He will publish a book in the spring of 2016 entitled “Impact” about physical leadership to help executives and managers improve their presence.

On October 27, 2017, the Metta-Pauzé Alliance’s team of executive coaches paid tribute to Jean-Jacques Bourgeault who recently announced his retirement from the coaching practice. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to coaching and to the Metta-Pauze Alliance, his colleagues unanimously appointed him Executive Coach Emeritus.

Since 2003, Jean-Jacques has been the source of inspiration for the group, always animated with passion and profound wisdom. As Executive Coach Emeritus, he will continue to share his wisdom with the Metta-Pauzé coaching teams, in Montreal and Toronto.

Jean-Jacques was Practice Lead at Pauzé Coaching until 2016 when he expressed the desire to withdraw gradually from his role. Prior to that, he played the same role at CDC Coaching after a very successful career as an executive. Among other things, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Air Canada from 1993 to 1996. In that role, he led a rapid expansion of Air Canada in the United States and Asia. He was also involved in the creation of Star Alliance. He then managed the Aviation Training Institute at the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Jean-Jacques is still active in the aviation field. He currently sits as director on the board of ADM (Aéroports de Montréal).

Gilles has been an Executive Coach since 2008 where he uses his rich and varied business experience with managers and professionals to help them develop their full potential.

Gilles has been a Corporate Director of both private and public entities. He started his career with the Bank of Montreal before joining Roynat Capital, a Canadian financial institution where he worked for 10 years, and became Vice-President for the Quebec operations.

Gilles was a major shareholder and President of Matco-Ravary Inc., a publicly-traded building materials company involved in retail as well as wholesale business, in the industrial, commercial and residential construction sectors. Gilles then became the President of Le Commensal Inc., a manufacturer of vegetarian food sold to distribution outlets such as grocery stores, convenience stores, institutions, and franchised restaurants.

Gilles is currently a director of the Chagnon Family Trust and of the Foundation of Greater Montreal. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Convivia Inc., and of non- profit organizations such as Formetal Inc., a social reinsertion organization helping disadvantaged young people. He was a director of the Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon, the largest foundation in Canada, and a member of its Audit and Investment Committees. Throughout his career, he has held directorships in several other public and private corporations.

Gilles is a graduate in Civil Engineering from the Université Laval and received an MBA in Finance from the University of British Columbia. Gilles taught finance at the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC Montreal).

Connie has over 20 years of experience inspiring and transforming teams in the financial sector. She honed her development, coaching and leadership skills with three world class financial institutions in an economic landscape that has seen considerable change over the past two decades. The experience she has honed as vice president of operations, commercial sales leader and contact center leader allows her to understand her clients’ reality enriching each individual coaching.

Connie’s mission is to power teams’ results through individual development. Throughout her 32 years career in Operations with PepsiCo, a Fortune 50 Food and Beverage company, Anne-Marie was exposed to world class talent development systems, process and tools. She had the privilege to lead, coach and develop a multitude of talented leaders. Anne-Marie has conducted hundreds of career planning discussions and talent planning sessions. She understands that hiring, developing and coaching talented people is a crucial part of the work for anyone who is, or aspires to be, a successful business leader. Her experience in her last 10 years as V-P of Supply Chain in US and in Canada has also helped her gain unique insights in strategic business planning and how to drive successful change management processes in a complex and fast paced business environment.

Anne-Marie is recognized as an inspiring leader with a coaching style that is direct and authentic. Since 2006, Pierre has coached senior executives at the CEO, Senior V.P. and Managing Partner level from a range of industries including finance, technology, energy and resource, manufacturing, health care, professional services firms, and family owned businesses. He has worked with clients on issues of executive and corporate development, change management, strategic alliance and joint venture development and execution. He has facilitated executive team sessions in strategy and business development as well as team building.

Internationally, Pierre was a consultant to and involved in projects of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the World Customs Organization and was the Canadian representative on the NAFTA Customs Implementation Team, on OECD committees and other international forums.

Pierre was President and CEO of Symcor Services, the document processing company established by Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank of Canada and Toronto-Dominion Bank. He also served as CEO of the Financial Services Ombudsnetwork.

Pierre was Deputy Minister of Canada’s Department of National Revenue. During his tenure with the Government of Canada, he held senior executive positions with the Treasury Board, Department of Justice, Privy Council Office and Health and Welfare Canada. Additionally he served as Secretary General of the Canadian Conference of First Ministers on the Constitution. Pierre has served as director of many private, publicly traded and not for profit organizations.

He holds B.A., B.Ph., and Law Degrees from the University of Ottawa. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1981.

Pierre has been trained as a professional coach through Career Dynamics I.C.F. recognized program. He has also studied Presence Based Coaching through the School of Presence Based Leadership Development.

Sara is an experienced executive coach, mentor and facilitator. Since 2002, she has coached C-Suite Executives, Senior V.P.s and emerging leaders in a range of industries including financial services, energy and resources, pharmaceuticals, not for profit, and family-owned businesses. Sara has also facilitated teams to help them clarify vision, strategy and accountabilities. She has twice won the Prism Award for leadership excellence delivered through an integrated coaching program in two organizations.

Sara started her career in the airline industry and then worked in telecommunications in Canada and the U.S. She was Vice President of Call Centre Operations for Rogers Communications. More recently, she spent five years on the faculty at Adler International Learning. In this job she trained and examined new professional coaches in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. She has worked extensively abroad and gained significant experience in diverse environments.

Sara also works with people who have experienced addiction in their families both as a volunteer and through her own private practice. She knows there is a way forward for family members to detach from the fallout of living with someone with an addiction.

Sara holds a degree in English Literature from York University and has studied counselling psychology, neuroleadership and the science of addiction. She is a Graduate of Adler International Learning Inc., and holds her designation as a Professional Certified Coach (P.C.C.) from The International Coach Federation. Sara is certified to administer the Bar-On EQ-I (Emotional Quotient Inventory) and the Pathfinder Career Assessment, a tool that measures leadership behavioural style and best career fit. She is also certified to administer The Team Diagnostic and has trained at the Centre for Right Relationship Organization Relationship Systems Course (ORSC), a systems and team coaching program. Sara has also studied Presence Based Coaching through the School of Presence Based Leadership Development.
